Research and Evidence Generation

Research and Evidence Generation - EAHERI
This is the foundation of EAHERI's work, turning routine hospital data into rigorous, usable evidence. Our current projects focus on assessing the quality and completeness of maternal and child health records in Mayuge District, while laying the groundwork for a multi-year hospital data platform at Jinja Regional Referral Hospital that will track pregnancy, newborn, child, HIV, NCD, mental health, and gender-based violence outcomes together for the first time.

Maternal and Child Health Routine Data Extraction and Quality Assessment

Objective

To assess the completeness, quality, and utility of routine maternal and child health data from hospital registers and inform the development of a longitudinal health data platform.

To evaluate data storage systems, key maternal and child health indicators, and the feasibility of longitudinal patient follow-up using routine hospital records.
